Below are all of the links to the podcast interviews we recently ran for some of the SourceCon NYC conference presenters. These were to help prepare you for their presentations by giving you a chance to learn a little about their background as well as the topic they will be discussing at SourceCon.

Additionally, we have created a Twitter list of the speakers — a quick way for you to keep up with the SourceCon presenters on Twitter. This list also includes the individuals who will be leading Sourcing Lab sessions.

The conference is just days away — if you haven’t registered yet, there is still time! We hop we’ll see you in NYC!

The person who will wrap up SourceCon NYC is an amazingly talented and respected member of the sourcing community. We are so pleased to have Adam Lawrence, global head of sourcing for SAP, speaking at SourceCon NYC about a topic that doesn’t really come up that often in discussions about sourcing: the art of creating compelling communication.

As Lawrence states in his session description, “…locating the candidate prospect is only half of the battle. We need to place equal emphasis on ‘making the conversion’ – crafting targeted, role-based messages that will compel these prospects to take action and become active in our pipeline.”

Podcast – Meet the Speakers for #SourceCon NYC: Megan Holte

Megan Holte

You’ve all heard the saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” Well, we aim to shake up that notion at SourceCon this year. Just because something “ain’t broke” doesn’t mean it can’t be improved upon. For our opening keynote, Megan Holte, Sourcing and Pipeline Manager with ADP, will share how she and her team “broke” their model — which was functioning just fine — in order to reach a new level of excellence in sourcing.

In our pocast chat, Holte shares how, even though their team was effective, there were areas in which they could certainly improve. The changes the sourcing team has made over the last year or so has led to them nearly quadrupling their productivity, and her team has nearly doubled in size. What manager wouldn’t want to see that?

Glen Cathey

Did you know that Glen Cathey went to his first recruiting conference when he attended SourceCon in 2008? Look at what he’s done since then…

We are pleased to have Cathey join us again for SourceCon NYC. As you know, we have featured the “Boolean Black Belt Archives” here on SourceCon, showcasing some of his work, thought processes, and theories on Just-In-Time sourcing, leveraging your own database, and how to get the most out of  LinkedIn searches.

Cathey will be discussing a new topic at SourceCon NYC – he will be talking about sourcing training.

Julia Stone has been around SourceCon since its humble beginnings, and we are pleased to have her on the speaker stage for SourceCon NYC sharing how she does everything that she does.

As a self-employed individual, Stone is a busy woman – and she knows that many of you are as well! In her SourceCon NYC presentation, she will share some of her secrets for productively and effectively sourcing while balancing everything on your plate. While Stone will approach this topic from the standpoint of a self-employed “solopreneur,” the information she will share is relevant to sourcers from companies of all shapes and sizes.

Podcast – Meet the Speakers for #SourceCon NYC: “Paul”

mystery man

One of our speakers for SourceCon NYC is enveloped in a shroud of mystery – the elusive “Paul” will be presenting on how you can become an “all-source intelligence” sourcer…

Okay – he’s not totally mysterious. Some of you know who he is, but he does wish to remain last-nameless until the conference to protect his business. As a professional private investigator, Paul’s work success rests on a certain level of anonymity so we will respect that.

Paul’s PI and CI (competitive intelligence) background, along with his experience in the recruiting world, gives him a unique knowledge base, and he will be sharing his thoughts on the importance of incorporating elements of both into the sourcing function to become a more well-rounded sourcer – an “all-source intelligence” sourcer.

Scarlett Jazesf

Scarlett Jazesf is part of Dell’s Talent Acquisition team. She has worked there for the past seven years where she has held technical, full lifecycle recruitment roles as well as her current sourcing role on the Research and Sourcing team. Jazesf’s session at SourceCon NYC will involve discussing the last couple of years at Dell and the evolution of the relationship between sourcing and recruiting. Many of you know from first-hand experience that this can potentially be a volatile relationship when both are suspicious of each other! (translation: they don’t understand each others’ role in the recruitment process)
