I met Marie Journey at SourceCon, the very first SourceCon event actually. We chatted and laughed and talked about all things sourcing. She had a passion for the work she performed and was generous with her knowledge. She was, for a time, a prolific blogger. If you take the time to Google her, you will see videos and other content she produced. You will, of course, recognize her creativity, expertise, and her genuine wholesomeness that infected all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Today, Marie Journey has passed on. She was a kind and loving mother who was loved by so many. Marie was an entrepreneur, an artist, a writer, a creative free spirit, and so much more than words can say. Our community of recruiters and sourcers is poorer for her absence.
As for me
I miss my friend.
One day, I will see her again.
