Pick Up the Phone! A Conversation About Phone Sourcing

Last week, during the weekly SourceCon Live Google+ Hangout ON AIR, we spent 30 minutes discussing phone sourcing with Conni LaDouceur and Maureen Sharib.

Phone sourcing, for those who aren’t familiar with the term, refers to methods recruiters and sourcers use to gather information using the phone. Because these techniques make most people uncomfortable, this is a skill many sourcers and recruiters have not mastered.

During the Hangout, Connie and Maureen share secrets about how to gather information on the phone, how to get past gatekeepers, and how to overcome the anxieties often associated with phone sourcing.
