The JP Morgan Corporate Challenge is a 3.5 mile race that’s held in 13 cities across the globe. According to the site’s history, the “race [has] grown to 255,270 total entrants from 7,677 companies participating at events in 13 cities in seven countries on five continents…There are entrants of all adult ages, from all industry groups, from entry-level to CEO, [and] nearly a 50-50 split of men and women.”

The Corporate Challenge’s site is an excellent way to build company lists by industry and city and employee lists by company and city.

Let’s start at the homepage:

Notice the event cities are listed on the left-hand side of the page. Click on Boston, examine the URL and you’ll see the city ID is 4:

You can view a list of participating companies in Boston here: https://www.jpmorganchasecc.com/companies.php?city_id=4

To view a list of participating companies in Shanghai, simply mouse over “Shanghai” and notice that the listed city ID at the URL at the bottom of the page is 25.

Alternatively, you can search by results by city & then category (industry.) Notice the city ID (25, Shanghai) and the year (2015)

Click on the “Team Results” tab and select an industry from the dropdown box and you will see a list of technology companies in Shanghai that participated in 2015. Want to see companies that participated in 2014? Simply change the date at the end of the URL to 2014.

Another way to use this site is to search by city and then results. Let’s use Singapore in this case.

Start at the homepage and click on Singapore.

Click on “More” in the Results box

Then click “show all” & then from the Gender dropdown box select “all” and finally click on Company to sort by Company.

Now you have a beautiful list of employees by company that you can cross-reference on social media, Google, etc.

Use the URL to switch up the city and the year; it’s fun!

Overall, the Corporate Challenge site is unintentionally a wonderful way to source new companies and candidate names!
