Scheduling phone screens and going back and forth to find the right time to chat with someone has always been one of the most time-consuming parts of a recruiter or sourcers day. For me, the risk isn’t necessarily the time involved; it’s the fact that if I get distracted from the process, I may never actually get the meeting scheduled. Because of this, I’ve been dependent on ScheduleOnce for the last five years.

When using ScheduleOnce, all I have to do is send a calendar link to let people choose a time. The meeting is added to both calendars and the person I am meeting with receives reminders. For recruiters, ScheduleOnce was ideal for phone screens, but it wasn’t set up to deal with all of the variables associated with onsite interviews involving multiple calendars. Today, ScheduleOnce announced that they’re moving further into the recruiting workflow with the acquisition of Reschedge from HireVue to offer interviewing scheduling throughout all phases of the talent and acquisition workflow.

Reschedge was built for recruiting teams and helps to recruit teams to manage multiple calendars to increase efficiency. Created by Jonathan Kennell, an MIT graduate, and former Google engineer, Reschedge saw early success and was acquired by HireVue within one year of launch. Per a press release dated January 11, 2017, “HireVue will continue to offer its comprehensive interview scheduling solution, HireVue Coordinate, to its enterprise customers, which include 40 of Fortune’s Most Admired Companies, while ScheduleOnce will provide the underlying technology to small businesses as an extension of its integrated scheduling platform. ScheduleOnce will continue to provide full support to the existing Reschedge customer base, and HireVue will continue to support all HireVue Coordinate customers fully.”
According to the press release, when using Reschedge, talent acquisition departments reduce time spent scheduling interviews by up to 95%. This significantly shortens time-to-hire and frees up resources for more high-value tasks. Rami Goraly, CEO of ScheduleOnce, appreciated the potential of Reschedge since day one. “We’ve had our eye on Reschedge since it first hit the market back in 2013,” he says. “We had just started working with recruiting departments and found Reschedge to be the perfect fit to extend our offering.”
