CareerBuilder is buying a key recruiting-technology company you may not know well, part of CareerBuilder’s goal of moving from a job board to more sweeping software provider.
Broadbean’s products are used for, among other things, distributing jobs and sourcing. It’s also involved in mobile recruiting, and I’ve talked to big companies that use Broadbean but don’t show up on its client lists.
Broadbean is out of London, is owned by a larger company, and handles millions of job applications.
CareerBuilder, as I mentioned above, has been broadening, taking on things like the supply-and-demand of labor.
CareerBuilder, which is owned by a set of newspaper companies, tells me it’ll keep it Broadbean as a stand-alone company.
