This article is part of a series called Q/A.

Update: This has been solved. Post forthcoming.

Editor’s note: This is a challenge for our on-site attendees of SourceCon. If you want to participate from outside of the conference, you are welcome to on your own but the prize is only for attendees.

Recently, I met a young guy at a conference in San Francisco . I was fortunate enough to meet up with him recently at an event. I forgot exactly which one, but I know his name is John and he is an active blogger. He knew this woman (my memory is terrible sometimes) who was attending another conference with John last night. She has a friend who’s name was Anna or Annie who is perfect for this R-ockin project in the Bay Area. The only thing I do remember was that none of them were in the recruiting industry. So the first step in this puzzle is to find my friend John and perhaps the conference. The topic? It was something that I keep hearing about in recruiting but I was too busy networking to remember anymore than that. With a little luck and the right timing, he can help you find the name of his friend. The odds are she holds the key to winning this challenge.

For those of you that have not done this before, you will need to find the following:

  • Find John
  • Find his friend who went to the event with him
  • Find his friend’s friend & contact her directly.

Good luck to you! This contest should take 1-2 hours to solve.

Stuck? There will be some clues given out along the way if you find out where & when you can get some assistance!

I had a dream last week I want to share with you.

Have you ever had a moment of clarity, where you wished you could re-organize the world wide web? You can visualize the urban landscape of pure data in your head. A world where it is no challenge to find the right candidates, it is organized and you have a magical search engine that delivers less results with more accuracy. Results do not hide, nor do you need to seek the answers.
