This week, I had the opportunity to speak at the DFW Texas Recruiters Network luncheon in Dallas. I’ve visited the group a couple of times and it’s always been a very engaged crowd.

My topic this week was Google+ for Sourcers and Recruiters. I shared why talent acquisition professionals should be on Google+, and a few search strings that can be used to identify candidates on the network. Glen Cathey wrote a great post for us last year on the topic so many of the strings are modified versions of what he shared. One that I added to the mix is a search string to identify female candidates on Google+. It’s simple, and very effective.

This presentation covered the basics of Google+. For more depth, don’t miss SourceCon in Atlanta in February. Laurie DesAutels and I will be doing a lab session on Google+.

I’m still in search of a third party tool to search Google+ profiles (FindPeopleOnPlus is no longer around). If you know of anything I should consider, please share the link in the comments section below!

While you’re on Google+, be sure to circle SourceCon!
